Gibson Murray — Author, Programmer, and Storyteller
You might know me as an author, a programmer, or, simply, just as a friend.
But let me zoom out real quick.
Stories shape the world.
Think about it.
What do we love to go see when Christopher Nolan or Quentin Tarantino headline the theaters?
How do we learn material in school the easiest?
How is it that we remember the random tale a professor told about his least favorite student rather than the boring ol' math scribbles that were on the blackboard behind him?
We love hearing about an underdog's rise.
We are emotionally connected to fictional people that don't exist outside of an author's imagination.
The greatest story ever told is printed in the most printed Book ever written.
We live for stories.
We are the main characters in our own stories.
My story isn't just that I write, or code, or play tennis with a buncha other peeps on Wednesdays who inadvertently fling the ball to the opposite side of the court (yes... outside the chain-link fence).
I live for something.
I laugh with someone.
I love for The One.
My story isn't over yet, but I intend to make it the best it can be.
How will your story go?
